The BTeV Vertex Trigger System

High Energy Physics - Experiment 2007-05-23 v1

Abstract

The BTeV trigger system will be very ambitious, reconstructing almost all tracks in real time at 15 million 2-TeV pˉp{\bar p} p interactions per second. The goal is substantially-increased sensitivity to rare effects in heavy-quark physics over that of existing experiments. The evolution of our approach is briefly summarized.
