Technicolor and Precision Tests of the Electroweak Interactions

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2007-05-23 v1

Abstract

Precision electroweak measurements have been claimed to eliminate almost all models of technicolor. We show that the assumptions made to calculate the oblique parameters SS,TT,UU apply to QCD--like technicolor models which were ruled out long ago on much firmer grounds. These assumptions are invalid in modern ``walking'' technicolor models.
