Supersymmetric multi-charge solitons in AdS$_5$

Abstract

We construct supersymmetric, asymptotically AdS5_5 gravitational soliton solutions of five-dimensional gauged supergravity coupled to arbitrarily many vector multiplets. These generalize the supersymmetric solitons of U(1)3U(1)^3 gauged supergravity previously constructed by Chong, Cvetic, Lu, and Pope. We show that the solitons contain evanescent ergosurfaces and give an argument that these solitons should be nonlinearly unstable.
