Superconductivity in Single-Crystal YIn3

Superconductivity 2015-06-03 v1

Abstract

We measure the superconducting transition of YIn3_3 by resistivity, susceptibility, and specific heat. Despite using high-quality single-crystal samples, the transitions detected by the three techniques are shifted from each other in temperature, suggesting a region of filamentary superconductivity. We discuss the possible implications for filamentary superconductivity in unconventional superconductors.
