Materials Science 2023-01-09 v1 Applied Physics

Abstract

Hydrogen release behavior from mixed-perovskite oxide, yttrium and cobalt doped barium-zirconate, BaZr0.955_{0.955}Y0.03_{0.03}Co0.015_{0.015}O3a_{3-a} (BZYC) exposed to D2_2 or D2_2O atmosphere was studied by thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS) detecting deuterium gas (D2_2) and heavy water vapor (D2_2O) separately. The release of hydrogen appeared at around 1000 K. Hydrogen solubility was higher in the BZYC sample exposed to the D2_2O.
