Status and future prospects for CLFV searches at BESIII

High Energy Physics - Experiment 2019-08-13 v1

Abstract

Here we present the latest results of the charged Lepton Flavor Violation process searches at the BESIII experiment in the decay of J/ψJ/\psi to eμe\mu, using (225.3±2.8)×106(225.3\pm2.8)\times10^6 J/ψJ/\psi events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. An upper limit on the branching fraction of B(J/ψeμ)<1.6×107B(J/\psi \rightarrow e\mu)<1.6\times10^{-7} (90%\% C.L.) is obtained. The prospects and challenges with the future data are also discussed based on MC simulation.
