Soliton induced critical current oscillations in two-band superconducting bridges

Abstract

Using time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau theory we find oscillations of critical current density jcj_c as a function of the length LL of the bridge formed from two-band superconductor. We explain this effect by appearance of the phase solitons in the bridge at j<jcj<j_c, those number changes with change of LL. In case of sufficiently strong interband coupling oscillations of jcj_c disappear.
