Sharp weak type estimates for a family of Soria bases

Abstract
Let be a collection of rectangular parallelepipeds in whose sides are parallel to the coordinate axes and such that contains parallelepipeds with side lengths of the form , where and lies in a nonempty subset of the natural numbers. We show that if is an infinite set, then the associated geometric maximal operator satisfies the weak type estimate but does not satisfy an estimate of the form for any convex increasing function satisfying the condition
