Results from the Y(5S) engineering run (BELLE)

Abstract

We report results based on a 1.86 fb1^{-1} data sample collected on the Υ\Upsilon(5S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+ee^+ e^- collider. The inclusive production of DsD_s, D0D^0 and J/ψJ/\psi mesons at the Υ\Upsilon(5S) is studied. From the DsD_s inclusive branching fraction the ratio fs=(16.4±1.4±4.1)f_s = (16.4 \pm 1.4 \pm 4.1)% of Bs()Bˉs()B_s^{(*)} \bar{B}_s^{(*)} to the total bbˉb\bar{b} quark pair production at the Υ\Upsilon(5S) energy is obtained in a model dependent way. The exclusive decays BsDs()+π(/ρ)B_s \to D_s^{(*)+} \pi^- (/\rho^-) and BsJ/Ψϕ(/η)B_s \to J/\Psi \phi (/\eta) are studied and a significant BsB_s signal is observed combining these modes. The BsB_s meson production is found to proceed predominantly through the creation of BsBˉsB^*_s \bar{B}^*_s pairs. Upper limits on BsK+KB_s \to K^+ K^-, BsϕγB_s \to \phi \gamma, BsγγB_s \to \gamma \gamma and BsDs()+Ds()B_s \to D_s^{(*)+} D_s^{(*)-} decays are reported.
