Abstract
Let be a regular local ring and let be a -regular sequence. Set . Further assume that the initial forms form a -regular sequence. Without loss of any generality assume . Let be a finitely generated -module and let be a minimal free resolution of . Then we prove that for all . We also construct an MCM -module such that for all . We also give a considerably simpler proof regarding the periodicity of ideals of minors of maps in a minimal free resolution of modules over arbitrary complete intersection rings (not necessarily strict).
