Abstract

Let RR be a noetherian commutative ring. Of great interest is the question whether one can find an explicit integer kk such that Ik+nIn\overline{I^{k+n}}\subseteq I^n for each ideal II and each integer n1n\geq 1 (the notation Ik+n\overline{I^{k+n}} denotes the integral closure of Ik+nI^{k+n}). In this article, we investigate this question and obtain optimal values of kk for FF-pure (or dense FF-pure type) rings and Cohen-Macaulay FF-injective (or dense FF-injective type) rings.
