Reconstruction from Representations: Jacobi via Cohomology

Representation Theory 2017-05-17 v2 Differential Geometry

Abstract

A subalgebra of a Lie algebra hg\mathfrak{h}\subset\mathfrak{g} determines h\mathfrak{h}-representation ρ\rho on m=g/h\mathfrak{m}=\mathfrak{g}/\mathfrak{h}. In this note we discuss how to reconstruct g\mathfrak{g} from (h,m,ρ)(\mathfrak{h},\mathfrak{m},\rho). In other words, we find all the ingredients for building non-reductive Klein geometries. The Lie algebra cohomology plays a decisive role here.
