Rapidity Gap in Jet Events at Lep200

Abstract

We analyze various perturbative mechanisms for the production of jet events containing rapidity gaps in e+ee^+e^- annihilation at LEP200 energies. We found that the processes e+eγγ,γZ,ZZ,WW4 jetse^+e^- \to \gamma^* \gamma^*, \gamma^* Z, Z Z, WW \to 4~ jets generate gap events at an observable rate. We point out that LEP200 offers a unique opportunity for the study of gap events due to a smaller background of ``fake-gaps".
