Abstract

Let aa be an integer and pp a prime so that f(x)=xpaf(x)=x^p-a is irreducible. Write fn(x)f^n(x) to indicate the nn-fold composition of f(x)f(x) with itself. We study the monogenicity of number fields defined by roots of fn(x)f^n(x) and give necessary and sufficient conditions for a root of fn(x)f^n(x) to yield a power integral basis for each n1n\geq 1.
