Abstract

We compute the potential between a qqˉq{\bar q} singlet for N=4{\cal N}=4 SUSYSUSY with gauge group SU(N)SU(N) at finite temperature TT, large distances rT1rT \gg 1 and weak coupling gg. As a first step, we only consider at the electric modes and we compute the Debye mass mDm_D where we find that each of the 8N8N bosonic degrees of freedom contributes to mD2m_D^2 with 16g2T2\frac{1}{6}g^2 T^2 while each of the 8N8N fermionic degrees of freedom contributes with 112g2T2\frac{1}{12}g^2 T^2 yielding to mD2=2Ng2T2m_D^2=2Ng^2T^2. Then, motivated by results obtained in the literature from both, a weak coupling approach for QCDQCD and a large coupling investigation of N=4{\cal N}=4 SUSYSUSY through AdS/CFTAdS/CFT, we attempt to include magnetic mode corrections.
