On the Sum of Reciprocals of Primes

Abstract

Suppose that y>0y>0, 0α<2π0\leq\alpha<2\pi, and 0<K<10<K<1. Let P+P^+ be the set of primes pp such that cos(ylnp+α)>K\cos(y\ln p+\alpha)>K and PP^- the set of primes pp such that cos(ylnp+α)<K\cos(y\ln p+\alpha)<-K. In this paper, we prove pP+1p=\sum_{p\in P^+}\frac{1}{p}=\infty and pP1p=\sum_{p\in P^-}\frac{1}{p}=\infty.
