On the $\Lambda^+_c$ -> p + K^- + $\pi^+$ decay

Abstract

The proton energy spectrum and the angular distribution of the probability of the Λc+\Lambda^+_c -> p + KK^- + π+\pi^+ decay for the polarized Λc+\Lambda^+_c and the unpolarized proton are calculated in the effective quark model with chiral U(3) X U(3) symmetry incorporating Heavy Quark Effective theory (HQET) and Chiral perturbation theory at the quark level (CHPT)q_q. The application of the obtained result to the analysis of the polarization of the Λc+\Lambda^+_c produced in the processes of photo and hadroproduction is discussed. We draw the similarity between the measurements of the polarization of the Λc+\Lambda^+_c in the Λc+\Lambda^+_c -> p + KK^- + π+\pi^+ decay and the μ\mu^---meson in the μ\mu^- -> ee^- + νˉe\bar{\nu}_e + νμ\nu_{\mu} decay.
