On the holomorph of finite semisimple groups

Group Theory 2019-12-17 v1

Abstract

Given a finite nonabelian semisimple group GG, we describe those groups that have the same holomorph as GG, that is, those regular subgroups NGN\simeq G of S(G)S(G), the group of permutations on the set GG, such that NS(G)(N)=NS(G)(ρ(G))N_{S(G)}(N)=N_{S(G)}(\rho(G)), where ρ\rho is the right regular representation of GG.
