On the correlation energies for two interacting electrons in a parabolic quantum dot

Soft Condensed Matter 2007-05-23 v2

Abstract

The correlation energies for two interacting electrons in a parabolic quantum dot are studied via a pseudo-perturbation recipe. It is shown that the central spike term, (m21/4)/r2m^2-1/4)/r^2, plays a distinctive role in determining the spectral properties of the above problem. The study is carried out for a wide range of the Coulomb coupling strength λ\lambda relative to the confinement.
