Abstract

The power graph P(G)\mathcal{P}(G) of a finite group GG is a graph whose vertex set is the group GG and distinct elements x,yGx,y\in G are adjacent if one is a power of the other, that is, xx and yy are adjacent if xyx\in\langle y\rangle or yxy\in\langle x\rangle. We characterize all finite groups GG whose power graphs are claw-free, K1,4K_{1,4}-free or C4C_4-free.
