On n-Perfect Rings and Cotorsion Dimension

Commutative Algebra 2008-09-11 v2 Rings and Algebras

Abstract

A ring is called nn-perfect (n0n\geq 0), if every flat module has projective dimension less or equal than nn. In this paper, we show that the nn-perfectness relate, via homological approach, some homological dimension of rings. We study nn-perfectness in some known ring constructions. Finally, several examples of nn-perfect rings satisfying special conditions are given.
