On min-base palindromic representations of powers of 2

Abstract

A positive integer NN is \emph{palindromic in the base bb} when N=i=0kcibiN = \sum_{i=0}^{k} c_i b^i, ck0c_k\neq 0,and ci=cki,  i=0,1,2,...,kc_i=c_{k-i},\; i=0,1,2,...,k, Focusing on powers of 2, we investigate the smallest base bb when N=2nN=2^n is palindromic in the base bb.
