On commutativity of prime rings with skew derivations

Abstract

Let R\mathscr{R} be a prime ring of Char(R)2(\mathscr{R}) \neq 2 and m1m\neq 1 be a positive integer. If SS is a nonzero skew derivation with an associated automorphism T\mathscr{T} of R\mathscr{R} such that ([S([a,b]),[a,b]])m=[S([a,b]),[a,b]]([S([a, b]), [a, b]])^{m} = [S([a, b]), [a, b]] for all a,bRa, b \in \mathscr{R}, then R\mathscr{R} is commutative.
