Abstract

We review the theory of polarized deep inelastic scattering in light of the most recent experimental data. We discuss the nucleon spin decomposition and the Bjorken sum rule. The latter is used for extraction of αs(MZ2)=0.1160.006+0.004\alpha_s(M_Z^2)=0.116^{{+}0.004}_{{-}0.006} and as a test case for a new method of analyzing divergent perturbation series in QCD.
