Noncommutative resolutions and intersection cohomology for quotient singularities

Algebraic Geometry 2021-12-14 v2 K-Theory and Homology Representation Theory

Abstract

For a large class of good moduli spaces XX of symmetric stacks X\mathcal{X}, we define noncommutative motives Dnc(X)\mathbb{D}^{\text{nc}}(X) which can be regarded as categorifications of the intersection cohomology of XX. These motives are summands of noncommutative resolutions of singularities D(X)Db(X)\mathbb{D}(X)\subset D^b(\mathcal{X}) of XX. The category D(X)\mathbb{D}(X) is a global analogue of the noncommutative resolutions of singularities of V//GV//G for VV a symmetric representation of a reductive group GG constructed by \v{S}penko-Van den Bergh.
