Necessary criterion for extracting thermodynamical work from qudit-entangled state

Abstract

A novel criterion of extracting thermodynamical work from a bipartite pure qudit-entangled state by means of local operation and classical communication (LOCC) has been presented. We have shown that non-vanishing GG-concurrence is a necessary condition to extract work from an higher dimensional entangled state in LOCC paradigm.
