Muon Flux at the Geographical South Pole

Astrophysics 2011-05-12 v1

Abstract

The muon flux at the South-Pole was measured for five zenith angles, 00^{\circ}, 1515^{\circ}, 3535^{\circ}, 82.1382.13^{\circ} and 85.1585.15^{\circ} with a scintillator muon telescope incorporating ice Cherenkov tank detectors as the absorber. We compare the measurements with other data and with calculations.
