Multiplicity one for equivariant min-max theory in prescribed homology classes

Differential Geometry 2026-01-16 v1

Abstract

For a closed Riemannian manifold MM with a compact Lie group GG acting by isometries, we show a generic multiplicity one theorem in equivariant min-max theory, and show in generic sense that there are infinitely many GG-invariant minimal hypersurfaces in a fixed GG-homology class. We also establish an equivariant min-max theory for GG-invariant hypersurfaces of prescribed mean curvature with GG-index upper bounds.
