Multiplicative structures on Moore spectra

Abstract

In this article we show that S/8\mathbb{S}/8 is an E1\mathbb{E}_1-algebra, S/32\mathbb{S}/32 is an E2\mathbb{E}_2-algebra, S/pn+1\mathbb{S}/p^{n+1} is an En\mathbb{E}_n-algebra at odd primes and, more generally, for every hh and nn there exist generalized Moore spectra of type hh which admit an En\mathbb{E}_n-algebra structure.
