Abstract

Monitoring a 118 km subsea cable using Distributed acoustic, state-of-polarization, and Brillouin sensing captured storm-induced strain up to 0.003μϵ\approx 0.003 \mu\epsilon (dynamic) and 180μϵ\approx 180 \mu\epsilon (static), demonstrating consistent yet distinct modal responses to environmental loading.
