Morphisms between Grassmannians

Abstract

Denote by G(k,n)\mathbb G(k,n) the Grassmannian of linear subspaces of dimension kk in Pn\mathbb P^n. We show that if n>mn>m then every morphism φ:G(k,n)G(l,m)\varphi: \mathbb G(k,n) \to \mathbb G(l,m) is constant.
