Abstract

Let AA be a regular ring of dimension dd essentially of finite type over an infinite field kk of characteristic 2\neq 2. Let PP be a projective AA-module of rank nn with 2nd+32n\geq d+3. Let II be an ideal of A[T]A[T] of height nn and ϕ:P[T]I/I2\phi:P[T]\twoheadrightarrow I/I^2 be a surjection. If ϕA(T)\phi\otimes A(T) has a surjective lift θ:P[T]A(T)IA(T)\theta :P[T]\otimes A(T)\twoheadrightarrow IA(T), then ϕ\phi has a surjective lift Φ:P[T]I\Phi:P[T]\twoheadrightarrow I.
