Mild pro-$p$-groups and $p$-extensions of imaginary quadratic fields with non-trivial $p$-class group

Abstract

Let kk be an imaginary quadratic field and pp an odd prime number such that the pp-rank of the class group of kk is one. Let SS be a finite set of places of kk distinct from pp-adic places. We give sufficient conditions for the Galois group GSG_S, of the maximal pro-pp-extension of kk which is unramified outside SS, to be \textit{mild}, hence of cohomological dimension 22.
