Measuring the Wess-Zumino Anomaly in Tau Decays

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2009-10-22 v2

Abstract

We propose to measure the Wess-Zumino anomaly contribution by considering angular distributions in the decays τντηππ0\tau\to\nu_\tau \eta\pi^{-}\pi^{0}, τντKπK+\tau\to\nu_\tau K^- \pi^{-} K^+ and τντKππ+\tau\to\nu_\tau K^- \pi^- \pi^+. Radial excitations of the KK^*, which cannot be seen in e++ee^++e^-, should be observed in the Kπ+π K^- \pi^+ \pi^- decay channel.
