Measurement of Baryonic B Decays

High Energy Physics - Experiment 2007-05-23 v1

Abstract

Recent results of baryonic B decays from Belle are reported. This study is done by a 78 fb1^{-1} data sample, consisting of 85.0±0.585.0 \pm 0.5 million BBˉB\bar{B} pairs, collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy e+ee^+e^- (3.5 on 8 GeV) collider. The results reported here include the first observation of the two-body decay B0pΛˉcB^0 \to p\bar\Lambda_c, the first hyperonic decay B0pΛˉπB^0 \to p\bar{\Lambda}\pi^-, and first observations of B+ppˉπ+B^+ \to p\bar{p}\pi^+, B0ppˉKS0B^0 \to p\bar{p}K_S^0, and B+ppˉK+B^+ \to p\bar{p}K^{\star +}.
