Locally connected spanning trees on graphs

Data Structures and Algorithms 2007-05-23 v1 Discrete Mathematics

Abstract

A locally connected spanning tree of a graph GG is a spanning tree TT of GG such that the set of all neighbors of vv in TT induces a connected subgraph of GG for every vV(G)v\in V(G). The purpose of this paper is to give linear-time algorithms for finding locally connected spanning trees on strongly chordal graphs and proper circular-arc graphs, respectively.
