Littlewood-Paley-Stein functions for Schr\"odinger operators

Abstract

We study boundedness on Lp(Rd)L^p(R^d) of vertical Littlewood-Paley-Stein functions for Schr\"odinger operators Δ+V-\Delta + V with nonnegative potential VV. These functions are proved to be bounded on LpL^p for all p(1,2]p \in (1, 2]. The situation for p>2p > 2 is different. We prove for a class of potentials that the boundedness on LpL^p for some p>dp > d holds if and only if V=0V= 0.
