Linear bound for abelian automorphisms of varieties of general type

Abstract

We prove: Let GG be a finite abelian group acting faithfully on a complex smooth project variety XX of general type with numerically effective canonical divisor, of dimension nn. Then GC(n)KXn,|G| \le C(n)K_X^n , where C(n)C(n) depends only on nn.
