Large and Fun CP Violation in B Meson Decays: Where to Search?

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2007-05-23 v1

Abstract

The best place to search for direct CP violation is the already observed charmless bsb\to s modes. In SM with FSI, aCPa_{CP} in KπK\pi modes could be as large as 20-30% but differ in sign between Kπ+/Kπ0K^-\pi^+/K^-\pi^0 and Kˉ0π\bar K^0 \pi^-. We illustrate possible New Physics effects that could lead to aCPa_{CP} of order 40-60% in KπK\pi and ϕK\phi K modes distinguishable from FSI. bsγb\to s\gamma modes can also exhibit interesting asymmetries.
