$L^p$ version of a result by Rankin

Abstract

We extend a classical result by Rankin. We consider the following question: given nn vectors viv_i in the ball of radius RR of an infinite dimensional Banach space B{\cal B} with d(vi,vj)1d(v_i,v_j)\geq 1, can we bound the number nn?
