$K\to\pi\pi$ Decays with Domain Wall Fermions: Lattice Matrix Elements

High Energy Physics - Lattice 2009-10-31 v1

Abstract

We present a lattice calculation of the KπK\to\pi and K0K\to 0 matrix elements of the ΔS=1\Delta S=1 effective weak Hamiltonian which can be used to determine ϵ/ϵ\epsilon^\prime/\epsilon and the ΔI=1/2\Delta I=1/2 rule for KK decays in the Standard Model. The matrix elements for KππK\to\pi\pi decays are related to KπK\to\pi and K0K\to 0 using lowest order chiral perturbation theory. We also present results for the kaon BB parameter, BKB_K. Our quenched domain wall fermion simulation was done at β=6.0\beta=6.0 (a12a^{-1}\approx 2 GeV), lattice size 163×32×1616^3\times 32\times 16, and domain wall height M5=1.8M_5=1.8.
