Is the strong-interaction proton-proton scattering length renormalization scale dependent in effective field theory?

Abstract
It is shown that the strong-interaction proton-proton scattering length in very low-energy effective field theory does not depend on the renormalization scale, if the electromagnetic interaction is "switched off" consistently.
