Interacting Scalar and Electromagnetic Fields in $f(R,\,T)$ Theory of Gravity

Abstract

Within the scope of f(R,T)f(R,\,T) gravity we have studied the interacting scalar and electromagnetic fields in a Bianchi type I universe. It was found that if the study is confined to the case f(R,T)=R+λf(T)f(R,\,T) = R + \lambda f(T), the system is completely given by the equations similar to Einstein gravity. Moreover, the present study imposes some severe restrictions on the field equations as well.
