Instability of the planetary orbits for space-time dimensions higher than four

General Relativity and Quantum Cosmology 2010-11-18 v1

Abstract

It is shown that in a Minkowski space of total space-time dimension D=d+1D=d+1, the orbits of the planetary motion are stable only if the total dimension of space-time is D4D\le 4. The proof is performed in a fully didactic way.
