Initial state and pre-equilibrium effects in small systems

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2016-11-23 v1 Nuclear Theory

Abstract

We discuss the importance of initial state and early time effects with regard to the theoretical understanding of long range azimuthal correlations observed in high-multiplicity p+pp+p and p+Ap+A collisions.
