Incorporating User Interaction into Imperative Languages

Programming Languages 2018-01-26 v2

Abstract

In this paper, we present two new forms of the writewrite statement: one of the form write(x);Gwrite(x);G where GG is a statement and the other of the form write(x);Dwrite(x);D where DD is a module. The former is a generalization of traditional writewrite statement and is quite useful. The latter is useful for implementing interactive modules.
