Abstract
The inclusive cross sections of the -particles produced in the reaction Li+Tb have been measured at energies around the Coulomb barrier. The measured cross sections are found to be orders of magnitude larger than the calculated cross sections of Li breaking into and fragments, thus indicating contributions from other processes. The experimental cross sections of -stripping and -pickup processes have been determined from an entirely different measurement, reported earlier. Apart from incomplete fusion and/ -transfer processes, the -stripping process is found to be a significant contributor to the inclusive -particle cross sections in this reaction.
