Implementation of Bose - Einstein interference effects in Monte Carlo generators

High Energy Physics - Phenomenology 2016-08-17 v1

Abstract

A practical method of calculating weights implementing the Bose - Einstein interference effects is presented. The usefulness of the method is demonstrated for the events generated by the JETSET/PYTHIA code to describe the UA1 proton-antiproton data at 630GeV. A good description of data is achieved with a reasonable value of the Gaussian width of a two-particle weight factor, which is the only free parameter in our calculations.
