Hyperbolic modules and cyclic subgroups

Abstract
Let be a finite group of odd order, a finite field of odd characteristic and a finite--dimensional symplectic -module. We show that is -hyperbolic, i.e., it contains a self--perpendicular -submodule, iff it is -hyperbolic for every cyclic subgroup of .
