Responses to the global climate crisis often focus on the largest current emitters of greenhouse gases. However, analysis shows that about a third of emissions come from a collection of small emitters, each contributing one- to two-percent of the total additional CO2 injected into the communal atmosphere. Attempts to hold global warming to less than 1.5\textcelsius~ cannot succeed without also reducing emissions from these small countries.
